Area G died in 1998, then in 2008. Area G was known as Debbas Square flanked by “Krikor” a circular-edged building to the south, and “Cinema Pigalle” to the north. On its eastern side, “Gaumont Palace” cinema resided, and featured French movies. On Saturdays and Sundays the vendors took over the area creating a bustling atmosphere.
Area G was survived by a partial hole for 23 years and partially replaced by a public space known as “Debbas Square”.
