Of 347 George Street, Druids Temple perished in 1986. Facelifted from oblivion in 1925, Druids Temple was known for welcoming the followers of the United Ancient Order of Druids. Druids temple offered ample opportunities for meetings and gatherings.
In August 1929, Druids Temple made headlines by hosting the ‘Druids Fancy Dress Dance’ to the tunes of jazz sounds. In December 1930, children were amused by Santa Claus celebrating Christmas. On Wednesday 27 September 1950, Druids temple entertained 200 friends celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Ladies’ Boadicea Lodge.
Druids Temple was survived by a hole for 16 years after being replaced by the 14- storey Brisbane Magistrate Court building and piazza.
