Area H died in 1998. On its northern side, Sursock building fronted Martyrs’ Square. On its southern side, entertainment buildings like “Cinema Pigalle” famous for its Indian movies, overlooking Debbas Square to the north and “Radio City” cinema
The famous “Cesar Amer” more commonly known as “Kaysar Amer” was widely popular as the “king of firecrakers” where many Lebanese remember buying their firecrackers for holy events.
Area H was survived by a hole for 11 years.
