Chandler House perished in 1985. Born in 1929, Chandler house survived 56 years at the corner of Edward and Charlotte streets.
Also known as the ESCA Headquarters House (Engineering Supply Co. of Australia), Chandler House was famous for trading in electrical appliances, providing Brisbane city with a showroom of vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, and heating and cooking appliances.
Chandler House was survived by a hole for 16 years before being replaced by a 15-storey office tower.
