Of 353 George Street, One Flat perished in 1986. Sister of Red Comb House, One Flat was famous for inspiring Brisbane artists to gather, exhibit, and perform mainly from 1983 till 1984. On February 17, 1983, One Flat welcomed artists at an opening performance party known as ‘Heads in Bags with Streamers’. Under One Flat
directors and coordinators Jeanelle Hurst, Russell Lake, Adam Boyd,and Zeliko Marico joined forces to promote artists. Artists such as Russel Lake, Hollie, Gary Warner, Adam Boyd exhibited and performed.
One Flat was survived by a hole for 18 years and replaced by 14- storey Brisbane Magistrate Court building and piazza.
